Aloe Vera - Facts about the plant

Aloe Vera is a plant that belongs to the lily family thus is related to garlic, onion and asparagus (and not cactus - as is often thought!).  There are over 200 types of Aloe Vera, of these only 4 or 5 have documented medicinal benefits.  Forever Living Products use the most potent (& widely used) variety - Aloe Vera Barbadensis.   

There are over 75 known nutrients that have been identified from within the gel.  Including:

  • vitamins - It contains a wide range - including the anti oxidant vitamins' C and E and Beta Carotene. It also has one of the few plant sources in the world of vitamin B12
  • minerals - Those present include -  calcium, manganese, zinc, copper, chromium,  sodium, magnesium, potassium and iron.

Aloe Vera - Information on Usage

  • There are no known contaminants, so can be used with competition animals (e.g. racehorses).
  • Topical applications need to be applied more frequently than steroid/antibiotic creams.
  • Combined use of Aloe Vera products orally and topically often produces better results in skin conditions.
  • No adverse side effects have been reported in over 20 years of usage.
  • Has been found to work in conjunction with conventional drugs with no adverse effects.
